FRP CABLE TRAY
Fiberglass cable trays are manufactured through an automated pultrusion process, which involves impregnating non-twisted glass fibers and other continuous reinforcement materials, such as polyester resin, flame-retardant additives, and surface felts. These materials pass through a forming mold, where they undergo high-temperature curing to produce a continuous fiberglass tray. The resulting pultruded fiberglass cable trays exhibit several advantageous properties, including lightweight construction, flame retardancy, corrosion resistance, water repellency, and high mechanical strength.
When shielding performance is required for cable installation, the company integrates titanium mesh or copper mesh into the pultrusion process to enhance electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection capabilities. The load-bearing capacity of these pultruded FRP cable trays is comparable to that of steel trays of the same specifications, yet their weight is only one-quarter that of steel. Additionally, their corrosion resistance exceeds that of steel by a factor of ten.
As a result, fiberglass cable trays find extensive application in industries such as petroleum, chemical processing, textiles, light manufacturing, metallurgy, machinery, power generation,
telecommunications, underground garages, subways, and both indoor and outdoor cable installations. They are particularly suited for supporting power cables with voltages below 10 kV, control power supply wiring, lighting circuits, pneumatic and hydraulic pipelines, and various types of cable tunnels.
